CUTE GIRLS MADE: Unique (Proverbs 139:14)

Do you often compare yourself to other women, labeling the result? Adjectives, such as skinny or fat, tall or short, beautiful or plain, smart or dumb, funny or stuffy, rich or poor, successful or failing, fit or unhealthy, flood your mind. Comparing and its cousin labelingdefeat the healthy self-esteem God intends for you. As we continue with our Creator’s design of a woman through the acronym: CUTE GIRLS MADE, let’s examine how our Heavenly Father desires a woman to be free from these defeating behaviors.

God made you unique. You are the only you in the history of the world. No personality style, no profile assessment, no physical test can capture the distinctive traits God created as He shaped your one-of-a-kind life. David penned: “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well” (Psalm 139:14). God’s exclusive workmanship of you is truly wonderful and matchless.

>When we compare or label, we create a different benchmark of success than God ordained. Christ is the ultimate portrait of how we are being shaped by our Designer when we surrender our lives to Him. As a result, each of us becomes a unique expression of Christ to our culture. When they look at us, they should see His heart. If we try to be someone we are not, or focus on empty, worldly descriptors, we embrace a counterfeit to God’s design.

Acknowledge your Divinely-inspired individuality. The God of the Universe made you special. Accept this truth and refocus your worldview on advancing the Kingdom of God in every person you encounter.
